The Distance Learning Center for Addiction Studies (DLCAS) is an internet based educational service that provides comprehensive training and information in the field of addiction studies. Such knowledge will help individuals stay current with the advances of the field, or will provide the educational training hours needed to either obtain or maintain a credential as a drug/alcohol counseling professional. Addiction Education by way of distance learning is an exciting format that can help save you considerable amounts of both time and money by allowing you to do your training in the comfort and convenience of your own home or office.

DLCAS.com currently offers the largest number of addiction education courses available on the Internet. We work to ensure that our catalog has the newest and most appropriate titles available to help you obtain or maintain your knowledge of addiction and treatment related concerns. We work with some of the leading authors, trainers, and educators in the field today to bring you the best education available on the World Wide Web.

About our Coursework

There are basically two types of students who purchase coursework from DLCAS.com:

Professionals seeking continuing education hours;
Counselors-in-training seeking basic training hours.

If you are seeking continuing education (CE) hours, your path is simple. Navigate to our Shop by using the menu bar at the top of this page (Shop our Coursework) and review the available course titles. We have separated our coursework into Series (e.g. Pharmacology Series, Treatment Series, Ethics Series, etc.) in which all courses are listed in alphabetical order. You can learn more about a course by simply clicking on the course title - a new tab or window will open to give you information about the course, goals/objective, and instructor. When you find a course that you wish to purchase, simply click on the format you'd like - Internet (immediately downloadable), USB Flash Drive, or Hard Copy (these two formats will be sent to you by USPS Priority Mail).

By selecting a course, you'll be taken to our secure cart system. You can "Continue Shopping" if you'd like additional courses, or "Checkout" if you are ready to purchase your course. Then, simply follow the instructions on your screen to complete your order. If you order Internet formatted coursework, be sure to note that the course title on the order confirmation page is the direct link to your course. This same link will be sent to your email address as back-up. This page is also a receipt that you can print and use if you need one for reimbursement purposes.

Voters in Michigan legalized recreational marijuana, making it the 10th state in the nation and the first state in the Midwest to do so. In both Utah and Missouri, voters legalized marijuana for medical purposes ― the 31st and 32nd states to approve medical cannabis.
